Question 1

What is Lala?

Accepted Answer

Lala is SevyDevy’s AI mentor for software engineers. Here, Lala runs AI mock interviews and guided learning sessions — by voice, text or code, with a full transcript of every session.

Question 2

What kinds of interviews can I practice?

Accepted Answer

Coding, system design, behavioral, role-specific technical, and mixed rounds. You set your role, stack, experience (from 0–1 to 8+ years) and difficulty (Easy to Expert), and Lala pitches the questions and follow-ups to that level.

Question 3

Is it like a real interview?

Accepted Answer

That is the aim. Lala asks one question at a time, follows up on what you actually said, cross-questions your reasoning, and gives only a small hint when you are stuck — never the answer itself.

Question 4

What’s the difference between a mock interview and guided learning?

Accepted Answer

A mock interview tests you: Lala assesses your answers and doesn’t reveal them. Guided learning teaches you: Lala explains, checks understanding, and moves on when it lands.

Question 5

Do I need a microphone?

Accepted Answer

No. Voice needs microphone access, but every answer can be typed or written as code instead.

Question 6

How much does Lala cost?

Accepted Answer

Lala runs on SevyDevy credits, with no subscription. Each reply uses credits based on the response quality you pick, voice adds a small amount per recorded answer and per reply played aloud, and the review at the end is free. Current rates are on the pricing page.

Question 7

Can I practice in Hindi or another language?

Accepted Answer

Yes — English, Hindi and Hinglish, plus Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi and Odia when voice is available for that language.

Question 8

Is it proctored or monitored?

Accepted Answer

No. It is practice, not an assessment. There is no camera, no screen monitoring and no identity check — Lala runs the conversation and keeps a transcript for you.

Question 9

Where do my sessions go afterwards?

Accepted Answer

Every round is saved to your account, with its transcript. Open it any time from Your sessions.
